These beautiful playing cards are made of a thick, smooth paper and are very nice to hold. I have included a picture {not mine} of the cards which include the following Kings, Queens and Politicians of the French Monarchy: King François I, Coligny, King Henry IV, Queen Marguerite de Navarre, Queen Marie de Medici, Cardinal Richelieu, Condé, Queen Anne of Austria, King Louis XIV, King Louis XVI, Queen Marie Antoinette and Talleyrand. The cards also include four French Rococo styled aces and French Playwright Molière as the joker.
Quality cards, really like the finish and weight. We especially like the historical names on the face cards, after playing we had fun looking up on Wikpedia the history on these figures. Should you ever loose or damage a card the makers will send a new card! Our dog actually did chew up a card and we received a replacement.
